There is no wire in this bra. Two soft jelly strips are built into the band where the wire would sit, so the band carries the weight and nothing digs into your ribs by lunch. Seamless, so it disappears under a t-shirt. Three cuts, one price: plunge classic, plunge scallop, or balconette.

Why it works

The band does the work. The jelly strips flex when you sit and bend when you move, and they go back to their shape. A snug band is the support. A loose band is the comfort. Pick the band first.

Nothing to show through. No seams, no hook pressing a line into your back, no edge under a fitted top. Cool against the skin and quick to dry.

Three cuts, one bra. Plunge Classic for low necklines. Plunge Scallop if you want the edge to show. Balconette for a straighter line under a crew neck.

Fabric

55% nylon, 45% spandex.

The nylon is what feels cool and dries fast. The spandex is the give: the band stretches to go on and pulls back to hold, which is what lets the jelly strips do the job a wire used to.

Washing it

Hand wash in cool water, not above 86 F. Do not iron, bleach or tumble dry. Line dry in the shade. A hot wash is what ruins the jelly strips.

How to measure

Band. Wrap a tape measure snugly around your ribcage just under your bust and round to the nearest even number.

Cup. Measure around the fullest part of your bust, then subtract your band number. The difference is your cup: 3.5 to 4.5 inches is an A, 4.5 to 5.5 a B, 5.5 to 6.5 a C, 6.5 to 7.5 a D, 7.5 to 8.5 a DD, 8.5 to 9.5 a DDD.

A snug band is the support. A loose band is the comfort. Between sizes, take the larger one.
